In 1972, Ross and Pauline Webber, together with Jack and Mary Taylor, founded a small company called Mayacamas Fine Foods. Ross had been an executive with Dole Pineapple for many years and was looking for a chance to start his own business with fresh ideas and a new vision. Mary Taylor was a well known gourmet chef and was looking to produce and market her newly created seasoning blends. They met quite by chance as their paths crossed at a bottle manufacturing company where they were both purchasing supplies to begin their separate ventures. They quickly formed a partnership and began producing Mary’s seasoning blends.
